1. It is recommended that the following methods be used to avoid the influence of ultraviolet light or arc welding light as far as possible:
When not in use, store the sling in a ventilated, cool and dry place;
Check the sling one or more times a week according to the use of the sling.
2. Visual method of UV damage degree:
The color of the sling fades; the sling material hardens; and surface wear occurs at areas where the sling is not often exposed to the load.
Liaise with the manufacturer to test the continuous UV-irradiated sling.
Acids can affect the properties of nylon and even completely destroy the strength of nylon; many acids do not affect the properties of polyester, but some acids can cause low to moderate damage to polyester.
Many alkalis do not affect the properties of nylon, but some alkali can produce low to moderate damage to nylon;
Alkali will affect the characteristics of polyester, and even completely destroy the strength of polyester;
When using a synthetic fiber sling in an acid-base setting, the following factors should be evaluated first:
Types of acids, alkalis or other chemicals;
The degree of acid-base exposure, concentration;
5. Temperature Because the sling raw materials belong to chemical fiber products, too high temperature on the synthetic fiber sling damage is even destructive, especially in the place where there is welding operation, to prevent the welding of the spark scald sling.
